Hey game convention goers. In case you haven’t seen from others, after a week of a lot of discussions about con safety and improving anti-harassment practices and stuff, the organizer of Phantasm has begun banning anyone who suggests that his con could do more to address issues, and anyone who mentions the bans. If

Phantasm and it’s owner have no investment in the safety of con goers, and David Watson has made it entirely clear that he doesn’t prioritize marginalized voices in any way. He has implemented a number of half measures, but it’s clear now that those were meant to placate community members while causing minimal discomfort or actual work for himself in community development.

If you care about safety, avoid Phantasm Gaming Convention. Spend your money elsewhere.
